Privacy Policy

What this website collects, what happens when you email, and who else is involved. It is short because the site does almost nothing.

Last updated

This policy covers tavzuran.com and the email and Instagram conversations that start from it. Tavzuran is a one-person software studio run by Adil, based in Kanpur, India.

The short version

  • The website collects nothing. No forms, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking of any kind.
  • It makes no requests to anyone else. Fonts, styles, scripts and images all come from this domain, so loading a page tells no third party that you did.
  • Nothing is stored on your device — no cookies, no local storage, nothing. Your theme and language choices last only while the page is open.
  • If you email or message me, I keep that conversation so I can reply to it. I do not add you to a mailing list and I do not sell or share anything.

What the website itself collects

Nothing at all. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no login, no chat widget, no advertising or social tracking pixel, and no analytics — not even the privacy-preserving kind. I do not know how many people visit this site, which pages they read, or where they came from, and I have decided that is an acceptable price.

Because there are no third-party requests, no other company learns that you visited. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts for exactly that reason.

Nothing is stored on your device

The site sets no cookies and writes nothing to local storage. Choosing a theme, a colour or a language changes the page in front of you and is forgotten the moment you leave it. A language choice is added to the web address instead, so reloading or sharing the link keeps it — that is in the URL you can see, not hidden on your device.

One consequence worth knowing: the notice explaining that a page was machine-translated appears every time you switch language, because there is nowhere to record that you have already dismissed it.

There is no consent banner on this site. Consent banners exist because of cookies and tracking. There are none here, so there is nothing to ask you to agree to.

What happens when you contact me

Every button on this site opens your own email client or Instagram. Nothing is submitted through the website. Before an email link opens, a short notice explains what I do with what you send; you can read it and back out, and because nothing is stored, it appears each time rather than once.

When you do write, I receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, your email address or Instagram handle, and what you want to build.

  • Why I keep it. To reply, to quote the work, and to carry out the project if we go ahead.
  • How long. Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to two years, in case you come back. Project correspondence is kept for as long as the work and any tax record require, then deleted.
  • Who else sees it. My email provider handles the message, as it would any email, and Instagram messages sit on Meta’s servers under their own policy. Nobody else. I do not use your project as a case study, or name you anywhere, without asking you first.

If we work together, I may end up handling data belonging to your users while building or fixing your software. In that arrangement you are the data controller and I am acting on your instructions; it is covered by our agreement for the project, not by this page.

What I never do

  • Sell, rent or trade your details.
  • Add you to a mailing list because you once enquired.
  • Run advertising, retargeting or social tracking pixels.
  • Use dark patterns to extract a contact detail you did not mean to give.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask me to delete it. Email adil@tavzuran.com and I will answer within 30 days. There is no form and no fee.

If you are in the UK or the EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and a right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you rights of access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal; I am the Data Fiduciary and the contact above is the point for any grievance.

In practice, unless you have written to me, I hold nothing about you whatsoever — there is no record of your visit to request.

Age — you must be 18 or over

I do not take on projects from minors. If you are under 18, please do not email me. The notice that appears before any email link opens says the same thing, so that it is read before anything is sent rather than after.

This is partly a matter of contracts — a minor cannot enter into one for commissioned work — and partly a matter of data. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act treats anyone under 18 as a child and requires verifiable parental consent before their data may be processed, and the UK GDPR and GDPR set their own thresholds. Declining the work entirely is a cleaner answer than collecting a child’s details in order to ask for permission to hold them.

This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly keep anything from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has written to me, tell me at the address below and I will delete it.

Changes

If the site ever gains a form, a cookie, an analytics tool or a request to any third party, this page changes before that ships, and the date below changes with it.
